Example Tinto Trace - 4th July2008

This trace is from Friday 4th July, and hopefully gives an idea of what a wind graph at Tinto looks like for a thermic day with light met winds. It would be interesting to see other comments on different days set against the corresponding wind graph.

Tinto Trace, Light Thermic, 4th July 2008

Take off was at 13:54 from above the quarry, with light winds just about sufficient to stay up. Big Tinto was working well with some easy cruising around. By 14:50 a big (ish) dark cloud had developed in front of the talker, I was under it from about 14:55 to 14:58 flying directly away from the hill (due south) at about 15kph going up steadily, about 700m in front of the talker.
