Brief Site Description: A little flown site but an excellent one with a friendly farmer. The biggest smoothest hill with no rocks ever!
How to get there: A couple of miles NW of the village of Carsphairn just of the A713 from Ayr to Dumfries. Take the last turn on the right (driving S) before Carsphairn and drive up a good track pass Garryhorn Farm (stop and say hello?) to park at the old mine workings.
Restricted Areas: None
Parking Notes: Park at the old mine workings.
Landowners: N/A
RAF Ref. N/A
Launch Notes: Hang gliders: unknown, perhaps like PGs

XC Tips: committing as there are a lot of trees and a large loch to cross over the back and opportunities are generally less common with a SE airmass
Top Landing Notes: unknown
Bottom Landing Notes: Hang-gliders: unknown, perhaps like PGs
Paragliders: near the cars
Hazards: beware of the compression at the back of the bowl and turbulence at the right edge of the bowl in higher winds. Take care before venturing into next bowl to the WSW(?) as this will hoover you up in high winds.
